Art students competed in the Southwest Prairie Conference Art Competition hosted by Yorkville High School on Saturday. The work of 11 Art students was entered, and MCHS had 3 ribbon winners. Congratulations to Grace Revis- 2nd Place for Painting, Josie Mihal- Honorable Mention for Painting, and Sam Trybunia- Honorable Mention for Drawing. In addition, seven Art students attended workshops that day to learn new processes and techniques. #mchsproud

Yesterday, the mathematics department celebrated Pi Day with various activities and treats for the students. If you don't already know, Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, which is approximately, you guessed it, 3.14! We were honored to host nearly 300 senior citizens from our community at our Welcome Reception & Musical Matinee featuring the spring musical, Beauty and the Beast! We enjoyed every moment with this group and are grateful they chose to spend the afternoon with us. Our students did an amazing job and they impressively sold out every show this weekend.
