The Industrial Technology department took students to the Carpenters and Pipefitters training facility, which gave our students a great perspective on what it takes to join and be successful in either of these trades. It was rewarding to see former students currently working as apprentices at both facilities. Experiences like this show our students that these career paths are not only attainable, but truly rewarding, and that the skills they are developing now can lead directly to meaningful opportunities after graduation.
Join us on Thursday, April 16th at 5:30 p.m. at the District Office at this informal get-together to enjoy a cup of coffee with the Superintendent, Dr. Robert Schiffbauer. Congratulations to Julianna Bain and McKenzie Rzeszutko who received MCHS is You positive referrals! Nominated by Mr. Ruettiger and Mr. Watson, these girls went out of their way to find a chair for a student who was without one and was sitting by themselves. A group of anatomy and honors anatomy students visited Loyola University - Stritch School of Medicine with Dr. Vahl and Mr. Monti. Students were able to get hands-on experience and make unique observations with human cadavers and pathology models. Additionally, students worked through a couple of life saving scenarios with "Vince" - the robotic patient simulator. It was a great field trip!

Mrs. Valerie Tijerina and the Diversity Club traveled to Chinatown this past weekend and had a great time! It was a good experience, and because the weather was beautiful, it was a nice day outdoors.

Students are invited to ACT-ivate Your Body & Mind on the morning of the ACT test, Wednesday, April 15! Exercise improves brain function. Get up early and move! A free breakfast will be served.
