Last week, the CTE Department took students interested in pursuing careers in the trades on a field trip to the Carpentry Training Facility. Students toured the facility and learned about the wide range of skills and specialized training carpenters gain through their apprenticeship program. They also had the opportunity to learn about the application process for joining the Carpenters Apprenticeship Program. It was a great experience for our students!

Our Geometry in Construction class took a field trip to our hometown’s lumberyard, Minooka Lumber. The students had an activity in which they had to "build a shed" finding dimensions, calculating pieces needed, and purchasing the lumber. They calculated total costs and wasted material. It was a great real-life experience!

https://gofan.co/app/school/IL15586 It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So whodunit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, CLUE is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.
