Senior Mark Rodeghero won the state championship in news writing at the IHSA State Finals in journalism on Friday.! Mark is an editor-in-chief for Nook News. He has been in the journalism program at MCHS for all four years. He is pursuing a career is sports broadcasting. We are excited to feature MCHS alumna Marisa Martinez '16, MHS, PA (ASCP) who is a Pathologists' Assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she also participates in the Rochester Community Band. While at MCHS, she participated in marching and concert band, student council, NHS, SADD & TATU. She received her associate's degree from JJC and bachelor's degree from Aurora University. She interned in the Histology Department at Morris Hospital where her passion for pathology began and then worked as a lab assistant at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. She eventually graduated from Pathologists' Assistant graduate program at Loma Linda University in California. She is grateful for her experiences that led her to where she is today. #mchsproud 🧡🖤
