Congratulations to our JV Girls golf team who placed 2nd at the SPC Tournament held at Boughton Ridge Golf Course in Bolingbrook. Junior Brooklynn Leathers led all golfers in the field with 41 strokes. Her low score earned her first place in conference. Sophomore Presley Palasz placed 8th, junior Lexi Samuilis placed 9th, and senior Mia Hinrichs placed 14th. All the girls played well and ended a great season on a high note. #mchsproud

Fire Science students presented Chief Al Yancey of the Minooka Fire Department with a retirement gift on Friday. He retired on after 38 years in the fire service and 23 as the Fire Chief. He was presented with a shadow box containing a MCHS fire helmet shield with the #1, class pictures, our fire science Maltese cross, and Minooka Fire patch. They also composed thank you letters for the opportunity to partner with the high school and provide them an outstanding career exploration experience!

Mrs. Tancil's biology classes were excited to see megalodon fossilized shark teeth and use the triple beam balance gram scale to record the metric measurements and use that data to calculate total mass of all teeth and percent body composition teeth are for a megalodon as well as differentiate between smaller fossilized shark teeth of various species and determine which sharks they belonged to as well. The students enjoyed the teeth!
