We'd like to recognize the members of the Girls Wrestling team for being Regional and Sectional Champions this year! At the regional, the team had an amazing come from behind rally in the last round to jump ahead of Joliet Township Coop to win the Regional Title. At the Sectional tournament, the team dominated the field scoring 105 points to lead the field by 35 points. This was the first Girls Sectional Championship for the Minooka Girls Wrestling Program and we couldn't be more proud! #mchsproud
Part of this week's Staff Appreciation Week included a Cookout at each campus. Teachers and staff enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, and more with their fellow co-workers outside and in the staff lounge. We are so grateful for everyone who makes MCHS great!

Today we celebrate School Nurse Day, which is part of National Nurses Week! We are so grateful to our nurses, Christina Daurer (South) and Angie Muniz (Central), for their outstanding support of our students. Their ethic of care and empathy is visible every day.

Yearbook distribution begins tomorrow! This Thursday and Friday, the yearbook staff will distribute the 2023-2024 yearbooks at both South & Central campuses during lunch. If you ordered a yearbook, make sure to pick it up during your lunch! 📚

Mrs. Christie Cain's students have been going to Minooka Intermediate School and Minooka Junior High throughout the semester as student teachers. Each MCHS student was paired with a volunteer teacher at the school to work together in the classroom. It was a great experience and we are grateful for the collaboration!

Our Geometry in Construction students visited Heritage Woods of Minooka again this year. These students made flower pots in class to gift to the retirees while visiting with them. It was a great experience for both groups! #mchsproud
This week, we welcomed area elementary schools to join us for Children's Theater performance of "What Happened After Once Upon a Time". There were dance parties, laughs, and lots of fun. Thank you to the cast and crew and all who joined us for a performance!

MCHS Alumna Krystin Smith '08 shares more about her dream job as a registered veterinary technician at The Wilds, one of the largest conservation centers in the world. Interact is going to the moon! The MCHS Interact chapter is one of 300 Rotary chapters chosen around the world to have a picture placed in a time capsule aboard the Griffin moon lander atop a SpaceX Falcon heavy rocket scheduled for launch in late 2024.
