Congratulations to the Minooka Journalism Team who won the IHSA Sectional! We qualified students in 9 of the 18 categories for the state finals at Heartland Community College on April 24. The top 3 in each category qualify for state, and the top 6 are all-sectional. All-sectional journalists were Claire Mascolino (4th - Advertising), Isabella Costabile (5th - Copy Editing), Brooke McAleer (4th - Headlines), Nicole Wolfe (4th - Radio News), Brooklyn Lehner (4th - Review Writing), and Quinn Locke (4th - Sports Writing). #mchsproud

Congratulations to our retirees, who combined, have a total of 75 years of service to MCHS (Mr. Troy, Mrs. Styrna, Mr. Monti and Mrs. Caruso)! They were honored at the Board of Education meeting for their dedication to our students and the district. We wish them well in their retirement! #mchsproud

Congratulations to three students who won an essay contest, sponsored by Minooka American Legion Post 1188, on what it means to be an American. These students were honored at the Board of Education meeting. Great job Reagan Reed, Makenna Cronin, and Kendall Johnston! #mchsproud

Minooka Softball is hosting a Lego drive now through May 6th in support of childhood cancer awareness. Bring in any new Lego set to South Campus Room 113 with Coach McMahon or at Central Campus in Room 136 with Coach Brown. Donations will be given to Advocate Children's Hospital for children undergoing treatment. Thank you for your support!

Congratulations to MCHS senior Zane Caves for being selected as the 2026 Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club April Student of the Month! He was nominated by Mr. Kunz. Each month, the Rotary Club honors one senior student with exemplary leadership and service mindedness. #mchsproud

Congratulations to six MCHS students who are taking classes at Grundy Area Vocational Center (GAVC) and were recently presented with Director Awards for their outstanding performance in class for the month of March. We are so proud of them! #mchsproud

On Saturday, 19 students traveled to Plainfield Central High School to defend their conference title. For the second year in a row, Minooka Esports took home first place! The team is coached by Josh Bell, Ellie Bell, Zane Zamora, and Zach Zamora.

Students are invited to ACT-ivate Your Body & Mind on the morning of the ACT test, this Wednesday, April 15! Exercise improves brain function. Get up early and move! A free breakfast will be served.

Attend the Athletic Booster meeting on Monday, April 13 at 6 p.m. in the Central Campus ARC. The athletic boosters are seeking new members to help work with fellow athlete families to plan events, buy/sell spirit wear, and raise money for student athletes!

Interested students attended the JJC Next Step Day at MCHS today! This event offered valuable insights about scholarships, testing services, academic advising, and more about transitioning into college from JJC staff. It was a great opportunity for our students!
