Seniors, join us Friday for Senior Sunset! There will be food trucks, fireworks, senior superlatives, and games. Wear your future college/career gear! Let’s gather one last time before graduation!

Seniors, graduation practice is tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the Central Campus Main Gym. Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. to be seated accordingly. We look forward to seeing you there! #MCHSClassof2026 #Graduation 🧡🖤

This spring, some of our biology classes and anatomy classes had the chance to learn about the life cycles, adaptations, and anatomy of the largest moth found in Illinois, the Polyphemus Moth. The students also had the opportunity to hold an active cocoon of the moth (in which they could feel it twitching inside) and even hold a live Polyphemus Moth. It was an experience of a lifetime.

All biology and honors biology classes had the opportunity this week to attend the field trip to the Channahon 4 Rivers Environmental Education Area to participate in Habitat Restoration by safely using various tools to remove invasive species in the forest. The invasive focused on this year was honeysuckle plants and some buckthorn trees. All the kids who participated during the trip enjoyed being outside contributing to something they are learning about in the classroom in our local community.

As our senior class exited the building on their last day of school yesterday, they were greeted with chalked sidewalks of well-wishes! Thank you, seniors, for the last four years and know that your legacy will forever remain at MCHS. We look forward to celebrating you at Graduation. 🧡🖤

The Anatomy senior had their last dissection of the year, the cow eye! The students thought it was neat, especially the blue reflective layer called the Tapetum in the back of the eye to help them see better in the dark, which is something humans do not have.

Congratulations to all of those seniors who received awards and scholarships at Senior Honors Night! It was a great evening recognizing our students and one of the final events of their high school career. We are so proud of all they've accomplished these last four years. #mchsproud

Congrats to Ava Petrosky who received a MCHS is You positive referral! Nominated by Ms. Ashley Tutt, Ava offered her copy of vocab to a student who needed a paper copy. Small acts of kindness can mean the world to a student. Great job! 👏 #mchsproud

A certificate of appreciation was presented to MCHS in recognition of our dedication to international exchange. Foreign exchange senior student Ecrin Memis from Turkey and sophomore Lena Goeschelbauer from Germany presented the certificate to Ms. Jamie Soliman, principal. We are grateful these students could join us this school year!

There was a faculty meeting last week to wrap up the year and share information for next year. Students shared their sentiment for the teachers and those participating in the school spirit day with wigs gathered for a fun photo! It's been a great year at MCHS !

Thanks to the Minooka and Channahon Fire Departments who spoke to parents at our Fire Science and Fire Cadet Parent Meeting last week! We are excited to bring this new program to MCHS.

Thanks to S&T Too Pizza Shorewood for their generous donation of free staff coupons as part of our Staff Appreciation Week! They were included in our staff goodie bags and were much appreciated. We are grateful for the community partnership!

Congratulations to sophomores Sophia Harper and Allison Pilon who received a MCHS is You positive referral! Nominated by Mr. Brandon Wolfe, they both helped during a classroom medical emergency. A student was having a seizure and Sophia ran to get the nurse while Allison helped get the student to the ground and on their side so they didn't hit their head. Amazing job! 👏 #mchsproud
