Mrs. Tancil's Biology and Anatomy students had an optional touch/hold a Biotic Factor during class. They were able to hold a very large female praying mantis, while treating her humanely. She was fed crickets prior to classes and she was content and calm for the students to hold and observe. It was a neat, hands on experience for the students!
