We will be hosting our annual Turkey Trot & Food Drive on November 23-24 at South Campus! Students will participate in a cardiovascular endurance run that will be followed up with hot chocolate and candy canes. Please bring unexpired, non-perishable items to donate to South and Central campuses, which will be donated to Mission Bible Church food pantry.
Our Fire Science students participated in a fire behavior lab that focused on fire behavior, growth stages of fire development, heat transfer, flow path, and applications of thermal imaging. This was a really fun project and they learned a lot. It's exciting to have this program at MCHS!

Our REACH students were given the opportunity to participate in a Lacrosse unit thanks to Peer Leadership and senior lacrosse player, Sophie Vallejo. It was her goal to help grow the game while bringing the two groups together to create a meaningful experience. It was a wonderful opportunity for all involved! #mchsproud

We will be commemorating 50 years of MCHS musicals with a 50th anniversary musical alumni Banquet on Friday, March 19th at 6pm in the Cafetorium and a 50th anniversary alumni show on Saturday, March 20th at 7pm in the Performing Arts Center. 1st through 5th grade kids are invited to join us for our FREE Haunted House of Hoops! Presented by boys and girls basketball, kids will participate in the clinic on Thursday, October 29 from 5-7 p.m. at South Campus. Biology students in Ms. Tancil's class were able to take part in a Calorimetry Lab using safety equipment and techniques while learning about their metabolism and Cellular Respiration where food is broken down to get ATP energy to live. They burned different foods and measured the temperature change in the water as well as mass change to use a formula and conversions to calculate how many calories/serving their lab measurements gave compared to the actual calories/serving on the food labels. Students always enjoy this lab!

Fire Science students are learning about building construction, fire dynamics, and smoke reading. As part of a group project, they were assigned NIOSH line of duty death incidents that were caused by a fire behavior phenomenon known as “flow path”. They had to summarize the events, develop critical event timelines, identify contributing factors, make recommendations based on what we discussed in class, and share what critical lessons they learned. They presented their projects to the staff chiefs, battalion chief and duty crew members as a “company level” training. They did an outstanding job!
