On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Mrs. Renee Ebel '93, Dean of Students. She started at MCHS in 1997. She received her bachelor's degree in mathematics from North Central College and master's degree in education from Illinois State University. She loves getting to know the students staff. She lives in Channahon with her family and enjoys spending time with family and friends. During the summer, she spends a lot of time at baseball and soccer fields as well as camping at Wilmington Recreation Club.

Congratulations to Mrs. Hannah Keppner who received a grant from the District #111 Foundation for her Spanish class at MCHS. The grant will fund Spanish books for the Free Voluntary Reading Classroom Library where students can access books to read on their own to enhance their understanding of the language. On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature math teacher, Mr. Jason Allen. He started at MCHS in 2007. He earned his bachelor's degree in actuarial science and master's degree in secondary education from the University of St. Francis. Mr. Allen enjoys the creative outlet afforded through the lesson-planning process and finds it rewarding to see the students grow and master the content. He lives in Minooka and married his wife on a mountain in Ireland. He loves to travel and has been to 30 different countries. He enjoys playing disc golf and coaches the school's team as well as the scholastic bowl team. And, he has never owned a cell phone! We are grateful to Mr. Allen's service to MCHS.
