The Foods 2 classes participated in a Cupcake Wars competition! Students had to choose the type of cake they were making, add a flavor to it, create their theme, designs, and backdrops all on their own. Judges sampled and rated each group based on theme, design, taste, frosting, and color. They all did such a great job! #mchsproud

Congratulations to junior Kamryn Banach for receiving a positive referral! Mrs. Julie Ziel was trying to get in her classroom with lots of boxes and bags in her hands. Unprompted, Kamryn rushed over and offered to help! Without her assistance, she would have been picking up dropped items off the floor. Way to go, Kamryn! #mchsproud

Congratulations to MCHS senior Mia Larson for being selected as the 2023 Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club November Student of the Month! Each month, the Rotary Club honors one senior student with exemplary leadership and service mindedness. #mchsproud

The Athletic Boosters will be selling spirit wear just in time for your holiday shopping! This is the last sale before Christmas so grab your gifts while you still can! Join them at the Central Stadium concession stand on Saturday, November 25 from 9 a.m. to Noon.

On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Mr. Kyle Adelmann, music teacher and band director. He earned his bachelor's degree from U of I and master's degree from NIU. He is one of the few teachers that gets to see students' growth over their four years, which he loves! He lives in Minooka with his wife Christine (who is also a band director!) and has two kids, Thomas - 9 and Louise - 5. They also have two dogs, Tina and Teddy and love the show "Bobs Burgers". Can you tell?!

Happy Diwali to all our MCHS friends and families who are celebrating! One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, a five-day period, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

Join our team! We are hiring a transportation director who serves both districts #111 and #201. Apply today! https://bit.ly/3FVlZCs
