On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Ms. Meghan Bednarz, school counselor. She started at MCHS in 2021. She received her B.A. in Psychology from St. Xavier University and her M.A. in School Counseling from Lewis University. She loves getting to work with students to help them plan their futures and navigate their classes as well as helping them with daily struggles during teenage years. She enjoys reading and spending time with her two dogs, Bentley and Charley. You can also find her on the Southside working for the Chicago White Sox during baseball season.

At this month's Board of Education meeting, we recognized Kylie Myers for being named a National African American Recognition Program Scholar by the College Board for scoring in the top 10 percent of the state on the PSAT and her exceptional academics. We also recognized mathematics teacher, Mr. Scott Tanaka, who is selected as an Educator of the Year Finalist by the National Society of High School Scholars! This honor is bestowed on educators who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to education and commitment to heling students achieve academic success.
