Congratulations to Mrs. Ellie Bell who received a mini-grant from the District #111 Foundation for a program called Edible Ear, which will be used in her ASL classes at MCHS. On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Ms. Katie Engel '17, ARC Coordinator and Head Girls Lacrosse Coach. She started at MCHS in 2022. She received her bachelor's degree in social sciences/history and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports leadership. Ms. Engel loves coaching athletes both on and off the field. She lives in Newark with her beagle mix, Hunter.


Students can send a "cookie graham" for $3 during lunch this week to be delivered on Valentine's Day, February 14. You may also order cookies to be delivered directly to you to share. The Algebra 2 team (Ayden Hollingsworth, Jaisin Ramirez, Samantha Hulick, Taya Gummerson, Libby Frazier) placed 3rd, Freshman/Sophomore 2-person team (Jayden Sola and Sam Thomas) took 1st place, and the Junior/Senior 2-person team (Sophia Benedick, Matt Collofello) took 3rd place.
