Yearbook distribution begins tomorrow! This Thursday and Friday, May 7-8, the yearbook staff will distribute the 2025-2026 yearbooks at both South & Central campuses during all lunches. If you ordered a yearbook, bring your ID and pick it up during lunch!

In April, Treble Choir and Women's Chorale performed at our IL-ACDA Treble Festival at the College of DuPage in front of 20 other Treble ensembles and clinicians from across the state and three of our choirs competed at the IHSA Organizational Music Contest at Herscher HS. Women's Chorale, Concert Choir, and our vocal Jazz ensemble Essence received a first place rating! #mchsproud



Spring hockey is officially underway, and it’s been an exciting start for Minooka Hockey! Minooka High School and Minooka/Channahon Junior High students, attend the game on May 9th vs. Plainfield High School and show your school ID and receive a FREE Canlan Crazy T‑Shirt!

Congratulations to our very own Bernie Ruettiger, current South Campus monitor and long-time wrestling coach who earned a Lifetime Service Award from the Illinois Wrestling Coaches & Officials Association (IWCOA), which is a really distinguished award given to legendary coaches at the end of their career. #mchsproud


Congratulations to senior students Jayden Sola and Melanie Vargas who were honored at the Illinois Principals Association student recognition breakfast! They were nominated for their outstanding achievements in academics, involvement, and leadership throughout their four years at MCHS. #mchsproud

Concert Choir, Women's Chorale, Varsity Madrigals and Essence spent 5 days on tour in New York City in late March. Performance Highlights include performing at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, St. John the Divine Cathedral, and Liberty Island; taking in “The Outsiders" and "Wicked", doing a Broadway workshop, and seeing so many amazing sites like Ellis Island, Radio City Music Hall, 9/11 Memorial and museum, and Lincoln Center. This was a choir tour to remember!




For America's 250th birthday, MCHS participated in a Great American Quilt Project with student and staff submitting 5 quilt blocks. The final product was unveiled on April 11th and it was fun to see our blocks as part of the project! #mchsproud

Our Anatomy students were busy dissecting sheep brains last week. They worked hard to learn the external and internal features of the brain. It was a unique, hands on experience!






Ms. Ziel's Clothing class worked on a sweatshirt project and we think they turned out pretty great!
