
This week, we welcomed area elementary schools to join us for Children's Theater performance of "What Happened After Once Upon a Time". There were dance parties, laughs, and lots of fun. Thank you to the cast and crew and all who joined us for a performance!





Our Geometry in Construction students visited Heritage Woods of Minooka again this year. These students made flower pots in class to gift to the retirees while visiting with them. It was a great experience for both groups! #mchsproud

Interact is going to the moon! The MCHS Interact chapter is one of 300 Rotary chapters chosen around the world to have a picture placed in a time capsule aboard the Griffin moon lander atop a SpaceX Falcon heavy rocket scheduled for launch in late 2024. MCHS Alumna Krystin Smith '08 shares more about her dream job as a registered veterinary technician at The Wilds, one of the largest conservation centers in the world. Do you have a gently used formal dress in your closet that you won’t wear again? Consider donating it to the “Gowns Going Twice” program to help the “Hope Special Prom” non-profit. This organization is hosting Prom for the local special needs population. Dresses may be dropped off now through Tuesday, May 21 to the Main Office at Central Campus or South Campus.

The Foundation gives back to MCHS through various fundraising efforts, offers grant opportunities for educators as well as several scholarship opportunities for students. On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Mrs. Ellie Bell, ASL teacher and esports coach who started at MCHS in 2022. She received both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Deaf Education and Early Intervention from ISU. She lives in Morris with her husband and fellow MCHS teacher, Mr. Bell. She loves sharing new opportunities, culture, and language with students and seeing the growth they make in a short time.


The MCHS horticultural class will once again offer flowering annuals, foliage, and vegetables. There is a limited selection of coleus, sunpatiens, geraniums, pansies, tomatoes, herbs, and vine crops.
