Our Anatomy students were busy dissecting sheep brains last week. They worked hard to learn the external and internal features of the brain. It was a unique, hands on experience!






Ms. Ziel's Clothing class worked on a sweatshirt project and we think they turned out pretty great!

Join us for the Children's Theatre performance, “Unplugged”. The cast and crew will be performing for area elementary schools this week, but have a FREE public performance on Tuesday, April 28 at 6 p.m. in the Central Campus PAC. All are welcome to attend and donations are appreciated!

Our junior/senior Prom, "A Night of Masks & Mystery", was hosted on Friday at the Museum of Science & Industry and our students had an amazing time! They shared some of their favorite moments with us. A great time was had by all!










Congratulations to Zach Vega and Natalie Andrews on finishing 3rd at the IHSA State Journalism Finals in the category of TV News! Zach and Nat both are members of Nook News and have produced several videos for the school this year. #mchsproud

We are thrilled to share that our very own Melanie Vargas is nominated for the Illinois High School Music Theatre Awards! Melanie will represent Minooka on May 11 at the award show. This year, a record 95 schools and 348 performers applied for the awards. Melanie is one of 12 actresses to be nominated! #mchsproud

Culinary arts students went on a field trip to downtown Naperville. They enjoyed Mod Pizza, vegan cookie dough from Cinnaholic, gourmet popcorn from Naper Nuts and Sweets, and macarons and bon bons from Le Chocolat du Bouchard. It was a fun experience for all!

Congratulations to the Minooka Journalism Team who won the IHSA Sectional! We qualified students in 9 of the 18 categories for the state finals at Heartland Community College on April 24. The top 3 in each category qualify for state, and the top 6 are all-sectional. All-sectional journalists were Claire Mascolino (4th - Advertising), Isabella Costabile (5th - Copy Editing), Brooke McAleer (4th - Headlines), Nicole Wolfe (4th - Radio News), Brooklyn Lehner (4th - Review Writing), and Quinn Locke (4th - Sports Writing). #mchsproud
