
On #MinookaMonday, we are excited to welcome Patrick Carter, a new chemistry and physics teacher here at MCHS! He graduated from SIUE with a B.S. and University of Phoenix with a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. He is also a National Board Certified Teacher. He currently lives in Yorkville with his wife Jenny, two teenage kids, and one crazy yellow lab, Luna! He is looking forward to getting to know and working with the great kids at MCHS!

We are thrilled to announce that MCHS has been selected to be featured as one of ABC7 Chicago’s Friday Flyover schools! Students and staff are encouraged to join us on Friday, September 29 at Central Campus Stadium when ABC7 will feature us on the morning news between 5-7 a.m. The helicopter will be filming from above the stadium as well as filming with a morning news anchor on the field. Arrive by 4:15 a.m. and wear orange! A complimentary breakfast will be provided. Freshmen and sophomores will have a shuttle back to South Campus before the school day begins. We hope to see you there!


Congratulations to senior Kyle Ebner on receiving a Deans' Office Positive Referral! A staff member was trying to help a student through the student section during Friday's football game. Kyle helped clear the way to assist the staff member and fellow student. Way to go Kyle!

School counselors hosted our freshmen and sophomore students at our Career Cruising event. Students participated in college and career exercises based on individual interests. It was a great opportunity for students to begin thinking about the future! #mchsproud


Congratulations to junior TJ Quinn on setting a new school record at the Lemont Invite this past Friday at Ruffled Feathers! TALK Day (Teens Activating the Language of Kindness) is on Wednesday, October 4! Students may sign up using the QR code. There will be group activities and free pizza. This day-long program is run completely by student leaders, aims to break down barriers between peer groups, and allow students a safe, judgment free environment to be themselves and teach students that they are not alone in their struggles.
