On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Ms. Kristen North, CTE teacher and TSA advisor. She's been at MCHS since 1998 and received her bachelor's degree from Illinois State University, master's degree from Olivet Nazarene, master's degree from Walden, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. She enjoys seeing the students progress through high school and beyond and keeps in touch with many former students. She trains and shows three dogs and has 7 Persian cats. She enjoys photography, camping, and traveling in her spare time.


Congratulations to sophomore Addison Cailteux who took 4th place at the Girls Wrestling State Tournament in the 130lb weight class this weekend. We are so incredibly proud of her! #mchsproud



We are massively proud of senior Noelle Klima who has been named a National Merit Scholar Finalist! This is one of the most prestigious academic awards in the nation representing less than 1% of high school seniors. Congratulations, Noelle! #mchsproud


Mrs. Ellie Bell's ASL 1 class learned about the structure of the ear with a neat program called Edible Ear. The MCHS District 111 Foundation funded the project to give students a hands on experience, which made learning this material even more fun.


On this #ThrowbackThursday, during the 2011-2012 school year, Jim Nesci from Cold Blooded Creatures came to MCHS for a student assembly. Here, students hold a huge albino python. It was definitely an experience to remember! #TBT

Congratulations to Indoor Percussion who took first place at the Regional Championship at WGI Chicago Regional at Plainfield Central this weekend! They achieved first place both in prelims and finals and are officially "A Class Regional Champions". #mchsproud

On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Mrs. Monica Hannigan, physics and dynamic earth teacher. She's been at MCHS since 2009 and received her bachelor's degree from Olivet Nazarene and master's degree at Mississippi State. She enjoys sharing her passion of geology with others while making connections with students. She lives with her husband, three kids (Abby, Kevin, and Carolyn), and dog (Ruby) in Manhattan and loves to bake!

Students in Ms. Ann Rapsky's True Crime class combined with Ms. Amy Kelly's Forensic Science class to learn how to analyze a crime and work together during the investigation. It was a neat collaboration for both classes.
