We are excited to feature MCHS alumna Vannesia Darby '08 who is a Digital Marketing Director at Shondaland in Los Angeles and resides in Nashville. While at MCHS, she participated in Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pit Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Student Council, National Honor Society, Track and Field, and was an Illinois State Scholar. She was also named "most outgoing" by her senior class! She received her business degree from Bradley University and went into the entertainment industry after graduation. Her college experience was s transformative chapter in her life and the foundation of her career. She's received countless awards since and belongs to several professional organizations. #mchsproud 🧡🖤

Pre-Med Club hosted a student/staff blood drive at central campus this week! With just one donation students could save up to 3 lives. After the drive, MCHS nurses presented to the club on CPR. Students learned about adult, child, and infant CPR practices as well as choking life-saving methods and use of the AED. There will be sign ups next fall for those interested in CPR certification class.



Yearbook distribution will be Thursday and Friday, May 8-9 during all lunch periods. Students will need an ID to pick up their books. There will be a limited amount for sale after distribution on the MCHS Webstore here: https://mchs.revtrak.net/

Congratulations to sophomore Mia Hinrichs for receiving a positive referral! Mia does a great job being respectful and safe during the dismissal process every day. Mrs. Porter noticed her let others out so that the parking lot can remain accident free during construction parking lot adjustments. Way to go, Mia! #mchsproud
Come hear songs from the past with "American Pop", as we feature our Concert Choir, Women's Chorale, Mixed Choir, Treble Choir, and vocal jazz groups, Jazz Transit and Essence, at their Spring Choir Concert on Thursday, May 8 at 7:15 p.m. The MCHS Choir Program is under the direction of Mr. Randy Benware and Mrs. Kimberly Joy Minarich and accompanied by Mrs. Kathy Frost.

Our students enjoyed the biology invasive species field trip! It was a great day outdoors and hands on learning experience.




Please be aware that in the coming weeks, the Minooka Fire Department will be conducting a controlled burn at South Campus. The presence of fire trucks and equipment is part of a planned and necessary exercise.

Senior Mark Rodeghero won the state championship in news writing at the IHSA State Finals in journalism on Friday.! Mark is an editor-in-chief for Nook News. He has been in the journalism program at MCHS for all four years. He is pursuing a career is sports broadcasting. You heard him this past fall as he was part of the team that did play-by-play at Minooka's home football games! #mchsproud

Join us for the Children's Theater performance, "The Mysterious Case of the Fallen Egg." The cast and crew will be performing for area elementary schools next week, but have a FREE public performance on Monday, April 28th at 6 p.m. in the Central Campus PAC. Donations are appreciated!

We are excited to feature MCHS alumna Marisa Martinez '16, MHS, PA (ASCP) who is a Pathologists' Assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she also participates in the Rochester Community Band. While at MCHS, she participated in marching and concert band, student council, NHS, SADD & TATU. She received her associate's degree from JJC and bachelor's degree from Aurora University. She interned in the Histology Department at Morris Hospital where her passion for pathology began and then worked as a lab assistant at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. She eventually graduated from Pathologists' Assistant graduate program at Loma Linda University in California. She is grateful for her experiences that led her to where she is today. #mchsproud 🧡🖤
