
Please give a warm welcome to Mark Moeller! Mark was recently hired as our new school psychologist. He attended Loras College in Dubuque and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. He lives in Yorkville with is family and cats and loves yardwork and golf. We are grateful to have him at Central Campus!

Students participated in the Homecoming Week assembly on Friday! There were lots of games, activities, including tug-of-war, musical chairs, and more. It was a great week for school spirit!

Last week, the Board of Education recognized Coach Mark Brown for being selected as IHSA Sectional Coach of the Year by the Illinois Coaches Association. His biggest fan was there to celebrate him, too! Congratulations to Coach Brown and the softball team for their success!

This week, senior students gathered at MCHS's ongoing Homecoming Week tradition - Senior Sunrise! Special shout out to our officers for all of their leadership and hard work along with the Senior Class Committee who helped coordinate the event with co-advisors Mr. Andres Torres and Mrs. Beth Torrence. ☀️

1st through 4th grade boys and girls are invited to join us for MCHS’s FREE Haunted House of Hoops! Presented by boys and girls basketball, kids will participate in the clinic on October 24 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at South Campus. Doors open at 4:20 p.m., clinic runs 4:30 - 5:50 p.m., and a Trunk-or-Treat will take place from 5:50 - 6:30 p.m. Be sure to bring a trick or treat bag! Ms. Shayla Heery's Art exploration class has been learning about Cubism and the element of shape to create these Cubism-inspired portraits. All their hard work and creativity paid off, as they look amazing!





Last night's Powderpuff Game (seniors vs. juniors), a Homecoming Week tradition, led to a senior class victory! The Chanooka Dance Crew performed at halftime and the Homecoming court was announced. The stands were packed and it was a great night!











MCHS students are invited to join us tonight for Homecoming Movie Night at Central Campus Stadium. The movie "Twisters" will be featured starting at 6:30 p.m. Students may sit on the turf so please bring a blanket, but no chairs. Concessions will be available for purchase.


Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team for placing 4th out of 37 teams at the invitational this weekend and to the Boys Cross Country Team for placing 21st out of 45 teams. It's going to be an exciting cross country season! #mchsproud
