Attend Monday's athletic booster meeting May 12 at 6 p.m. in the Central Campus ARC. The athletic boosters are seeking new members to help work with fellow athlete families to plan events, buy/sell spirit wear, and raise money for student scholarships, athletic equipment and more!

Pre-Med students attended the FISH (Futures in Science and Healthcare) program at National University of Health Sciences to learn about health care careers such as Chiropractic Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, and Biomedical Science, engaged in an anatomy lecture and cadaver demonstration, and observe at body level and got to see 6 different cadavers being actively dissected by medical students during their lab as well as asked questions to deepen their understanding.

We are proud to share that the Girls Soccer Team partnered with Pink Heals to raise awareness and funds in support of their powerful mission dedicated to supporting women and their families. Their iconic pink fire truck is a symbol of strength and solidarity, and we were honored to welcome it to campus this week for a photo opportunity and awareness event. Thank you for supporting our student-athletes as they grow not only as players, but as leaders and compassionate members of our community.

Congratulations to the Minooka Esports team who qualified for State in two events! State was held this past Saturday at Evergreen Park High School for two qualifiers from each of the 8 sectionals. Out of the 16 state qualifiers, Minooka Esports took home 3rd place in Super Smash Bros. and 2nd Place in Madden 25. This is the first time Minooka Esports has had a podium finish at State Finals. #mchsproud

Part of this week's Staff Appreciation Week included a Cookout at each campus. The weather couldn't have been better! Teachers and staff enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, and more with their fellow co-workers outside. We are so grateful for everyone who makes MCHS great!

Yearbook distribution begins tomorrow! This Thursday and Friday, May 8-9, the yearbook staff will distribute the 2024-2025 yearbooks at both South & Central campuses during all lunches. If you ordered a yearbook, bring your ID and pick it up during lunch!

The Three Rivers Library is partnering with MCHS to host the Three Rivers Fan Fest on Saturday, May 10. All are welcome to join in on the fun!

Today we celebrate School Nurse Day, which is a part of National Nurses Week! We are so grateful to our nurses, Angie Muniz and Jaclyn Oiler, as well as nursing assistant, Allyse Velazquez, for their outstanding support of our students. Their ethic of care and empathy is visible every day.

Join us for the MCHS Art Show this Thursday, May 8th from 6-8 p.m. in the Central Campus Commons. The event will feature one artwork from each student in each art class this school year. We hope to see you there!

Pre-Med students attended an after school field trip to volunteer for Project C.U.R.E. Here, they helped pack important medical supplies for C.U.R.E. kits to be distributed to medical professionals, such as those on medical mission trips, to meet the healthcare needs of people in poverty, disasters and violence. #mchsproud


Join the Boys Volleyball Team for the Inaugural Alumni Night on Thursday, May 8th! Attend the games and stay for the reception and visit with previous coaches. Refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!

We are excited to feature MCHS alumna Vannesia Darby '08 who is a Digital Marketing Director at Shondaland in Los Angeles and resides in Nashville. While at MCHS, she participated in Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pit Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Student Council, National Honor Society, Track and Field, and was an Illinois State Scholar. She was also named "most outgoing" by her senior class! She received her business degree from Bradley University and went into the entertainment industry after graduation. Her college experience was s transformative chapter in her life and the foundation of her career. She's received countless awards since and belongs to several professional organizations. #mchsproud 🧡🖤

Pre-Med Club hosted a student/staff blood drive at central campus this week! With just one donation students could save up to 3 lives. After the drive, MCHS nurses presented to the club on CPR. Students learned about adult, child, and infant CPR practices as well as choking life-saving methods and use of the AED. There will be sign ups next fall for those interested in CPR certification class.
