On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Mr. Brad Kunz, PE Teacher/Asst. Football Coach, who started at MCHS in 2023. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Miami. He lives in Channahon with his wife Melanie (a 2003 MCHS alumna) and twin 7 y/o boys. He also won a national championship in football as an offensive lineman for the Miami Hurricanes in 2001! His favorite things about MCHS are the students he gets to work with each day and awesome colleagues who have helped him during his first year.

Yesterday, the mathematics department celebrated Pi Day with various activities and treats for the students. If you don't already know, Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, which is approximately, you guessed it, 3.14! Art students competed in the Southwest Prairie Conference Art Competition hosted by Yorkville High School on Saturday. The work of 11 Art students was entered, and MCHS had 3 ribbon winners. Congratulations to Grace Revis- 2nd Place for Painting, Josie Mihal- Honorable Mention for Painting, and Sam Trybunia- Honorable Mention for Drawing. In addition, seven Art students attended workshops that day to learn new processes and techniques. #mchsproud

We were honored to host nearly 300 senior citizens from our community at our Welcome Reception & Musical Matinee featuring the spring musical, Beauty and the Beast!
