1st through 4th grade boys and girls are invited to join us for MCHS’s Haunted House of Hoops! Presented by boys and girls basketball, kids will participate in the clinic on October 26 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at South Campus. Doors open at 4:15 p.m., clinic runs 4:30 - 5:50 p.m., and a Trunk-or-Treat will take place from 5:50 - 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by scanning the QR code below.

Did you know that September is Deaf Awareness Month? 1 in 5 teenagers in America have some type of hearing loss. Over 48 million people in the US have a hearing loss. Sign Language is the FOURTH most used language in the United States. Also, Sign Language uses more than just your hands! Your face and body are a huge part of ASL. #DeafAwarenessMonth


On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to welcome our newest social worker at South Campus, Tiffany Kanak. She received her BSW from ISU and MSW from UIC. She lives in Bolingbrook with her husband, two daughters, and an Australian Cattle mix dog named "Potter". She is looking forward to building relationships and providing support to students and staff and getting to know the MCHS community!

Today, students from MCHS, Morris H.S. and Lincoln-Way explored careers along the river through a partnership with RiverWorks Discovery. They gained insights and appreciation for the vital contribution rivers provide the nation. The interactive presentations gave students a valuable chance to meet and speak with individuals employed in river careers.

At last night's Board of Education meeting, we recognized TJ Quinn for setting a new school record at the Lemont Invite playing at one of the hardest courses high school kids can play, Ruffled Feathers. TJ shot a 64! This is a tremendous accomplishment and we are incredibly proud of him! #mchsproud

On #MinookaMonday, we are excited to welcome Patrick Carter, a new chemistry and physics teacher here at MCHS! He graduated from SIUE with a B.S. and University of Phoenix with a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. He is also a National Board Certified Teacher. He currently lives in Yorkville with his wife Jenny, two teenage kids, and one crazy yellow lab, Luna! He is looking forward to getting to know and working with the great kids at MCHS!

We are thrilled to announce that MCHS has been selected to be featured as one of ABC7 Chicago’s Friday Flyover schools! Students and staff are encouraged to join us on Friday, September 29 at Central Campus Stadium when ABC7 will feature us on the morning news between 5-7 a.m. The helicopter will be filming from above the stadium as well as filming with a morning news anchor on the field. Arrive by 4:15 a.m. and wear orange! A complimentary breakfast will be provided. Freshmen and sophomores will have a shuttle back to South Campus before the school day begins. We hope to see you there!
