On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Ms. Megan Harrison, speech-language pathologist at South Campus. She started at MCHS in 2023. She received her bachelor's degree from ISU and master's degree from Elmhurst University. She lives in Plainfield and likes spending time hiking with her dogs. She is enjoying getting to know her students and co-workers! 

The World Language Department invites students to participate in National Language Week March 4-8. Next week, we will host a variety of activities and we hope you’ll participate!

Yesterday, we held our Parade of Champions through the hallways of both campuses honoring the Girls Bowling Team  2nd place State finish, Addison Cailteux Individual Girls Wrestling 4th place finish, ILMEA State Performers, and Special Olympians. We have amazing students at MCHS! #mchsproud

On this #ThrowbackThursday, we celebrate the 2005 Girls Bowling Team who took 3rd place at State that year. This was the first MCHS Bowling Team to place at State and they started the winning legacy. #TBT #mchsproud

Congrats to our Math Team who competed in the ICTM Regional Math Contest at JJC this past weekend. They earned the following awards: Freshman/Sophomore 8 Person Team - 3rd place (Vanessa Beruman, Jenna Hu, Kate Tadel, Sam Thomas, CJ Walton, Noa Johnson, Jessica Robbins, and Jayden Sola); Calculator Team - 3rd place (Vanessa Beruman, Jenna Hu, Kate Tadel, CJ Walton, Jessica Robbins, Ayden Hollingsworth, Oyu Naranjargal); Oral Team - 2nd place (Sophia Benedick and Weston Lorenz); Sam Thomas placed 7th in Algebra 1 and Sophia Benedick placed 5th in Pre-Calculus. Best of luck to Sam Thomas and Sophia Benedick as they compete at State! #mchsproud

On #MinookaMonday, we'd like to feature Ms. Kristen North, CTE teacher and TSA advisor. She's been at MCHS since 1998 and received her bachelor's degree from Illinois State University, master's degree from Olivet Nazarene, master's degree from Walden, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. She enjoys seeing the students progress through high school and beyond and keeps in touch with many former students. She trains and shows three dogs and has 7 Persian cats. She enjoys photography, camping, and traveling in her spare time.

We are massively proud of senior Noelle Klima who has been named a National Merit Scholar Finalist! This is one of the most prestigious academic awards in the nation representing less than 1% of high school seniors. Congratulations, Noelle! #mchsproud 

Mrs. Ellie Bell's ASL 1 class learned about the structure of the ear with a neat program called Edible Ear. The MCHS District 111 Foundation funded the project to give students a hands on experience, which made learning this material even more fun. 

On this #ThrowbackThursday, during the 2011-2012 school year, Jim Nesci from Cold Blooded Creatures came to MCHS for a student assembly. Here, students hold a huge albino python. It was definitely an experience to remember! #TBT
