Senior Mark Rodeghero won the state championship in news writing at the IHSA State Finals in journalism on Friday.! Mark is an editor-in-chief for Nook News. He has been in the journalism program at MCHS for all four years. He is pursuing a career is sports broadcasting. You heard him this past fall as he was part of the team that did play-by-play at Minooka's home football games! #mchsproud

Join us for the Children's Theater performance, "The Mysterious Case of the Fallen Egg." The cast and crew will be performing for area elementary schools next week, but have a FREE public performance on Monday, April 28th at 6 p.m. in the Central Campus PAC. Donations are appreciated!


We are excited to feature MCHS alumna Marisa Martinez '16, MHS, PA (ASCP) who is a Pathologists' Assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she also participates in the Rochester Community Band. While at MCHS, she participated in marching and concert band, student council, NHS, SADD & TATU. She received her associate's degree from JJC and bachelor's degree from Aurora University. She interned in the Histology Department at Morris Hospital where her passion for pathology began and then worked as a lab assistant at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. She eventually graduated from Pathologists' Assistant graduate program at Loma Linda University in California. She is grateful for her experiences that led her to where she is today. #mchsproud 🧡🖤

Congratulations to senior Emma Schiffbauer who is nominated as a top 12 Best Performer in an Actress role! She was selected from over 315 student applicants from 85 participating schools in Illinois. The Central counseling staff invited Joliet Junior College admissions, testing services, registration and scholarship professionals to help our seniors attending JJC this fall finalize their plans. It was a great opportunity for our students planning to attend!

We are excited to feature MCHS alumna Rachel (Herzberger) Johnson '13 who is a high school biology teacher at Samuel Clemens High School in Texas. While at MCHS, she played golf, soccer, basketball, and was an athletic training student aide. She obtained her bachelor's degree in athletic training from North Central College and worked as an EMT and EMT instructor for five years, where she discovered her passion for teaching. She credits the great teachers she had at MCHS for inspiring her to become a teacher. She then pursued her master's degree in education from Grand Canyon University. #mchsproud 🧡🖤
