MCHS will administer final exams for all courses. Final exams are cumulative and are weighted as 15% of the grade. Please note that dual credit courses are administering their final exam per their agreement with their affiliated college. Please be aware that final exam days are student attendance days; students are expected to attend. Students will not be permitted to leave a classroom during a final exam to avoid disrupting the testing environment. We encourage students to use their resource period to study, attend labs, etc. However, if it is your child’s resource period, and you want them excused during that time, a Google Form will be distributed via email preceding the exams. This form must be completed by the parent. If you have questions on excusal, please contact the Deans' Office.

If your student misses a final exam day, please contact the teacher to schedule a make-up time. If your student will miss ALL final exam days, please contact Mary Hamiti (Central) or Toya Thomas (South), secretary to the Principals, to get prior Principal approval. There will be make-up final exam time on all final exam days, including appointments scheduled over winter break to make up final exams.
