Graduation Ceremony Sunday, May 16, 2021:

MCHS will be conducting two in-person ceremonies by alpha-slice at  the MCHS football stadium.  

Ceremony #1
1:30 pm. - 2:45 pm.  (A-K)
Graduates need to arrive and report to the gymnasium by 12:45 pm.

Ceremony #2
4:30 pm. - 5:45 pm.  (L-Z)
Graduates need to arrive and report to the gymnasium by 3:45 pm.

> Approximately 325 students per ceremony.
> Up to 8 guests per graduate will be allowed. No Tickets will be distributed or collected at the entrance.
   (The limited amount of guests is in alignment with the IDPH recommendation of
    25% occupancy of the Football Stadium.)
> Rain date: Monday, May 17, 2021 (4:00PM & 7:00PM)

During the graduation event please following the recommended social distancing measures expressed by the State of Illinois. As we continue to plan the event, please stay tuned for future updates and directions.

Minooka Community High School Senior Graduation Form
Class of 2021 Seniors, please follow this link to fill out and submit the senior graduation form. The information is requested for the Class of 2021 Graduation Program. Please complete this form by May 5, 2021. If you have any questions please contact Marci Jordan by email:

Spectator Attendance 
In anticipation of Illinois moving to the Bridge Phase, as part of the Restore Illinois reopening plan, this Friday, May 14th, MCHS has increased the number of allowed spectators per graduate from 4 to 8.  We ask that each graduate have no more than 8 spectators in attendance during their scheduled graduation ceremony time.  Please note that no tickets will be issued or collected for the graduation ceremonies.


  1.  Unpack and press your gown before graduation day.

  2. The tassel is worn on the right side of your cap.  As a part of the ceremony, all members of the class will move their tassels at the same time. (Ladies, you should bring extra bobbie pins for your caps.)

  3. Graduates are to meet in the Main Gym Lobby 45 Minutes Prior to Your Ceremony, Sunday, May 16, 2021.  Students with the last name (A-K) will need to arrive by 12:45 pm. and students with the last name (L-Z) will need to arrive by 3:45 pm.

  4. Do not carry balloons, flowers or anything else during the graduation ceremony.  Ladies please leave your purses at home or have your parents hold them. You will NOT be able to get into the building after the ceremony!

  5. Please ask your parents not to block aisles or to stand in front of other guests to videotape or take photos during the ceremony.  In consideration of others, please take pictures before coming to the ceremony or afterward on the field.

  6. Gentlemen, please remove your caps during the "National Anthem.”

  7. Disruptive students and/or spectators will be escorted out of the ceremony.

  8. After the ceremony, you will recess down the center aisle to the football uprights where one of our retirees will lead the cap toss. After you do the cap toss, you will exit the field through the gate that you came in.

  9. In an effort to ensure that each student receives his/her correct diploma, only the diploma cover will be given out during the graduation ceremony.  Students will be able to come to the Central Campus main office beginning May 17th, during regular office hours (7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) to pick up their diploma.  Students may only pick up their own diplomas.  Any diplomas not picked up by May 24th will be mailed home to the address in PowerSchool.

  10. Academic Distinction (magna cum laude, summa cum laude, and cum laude) cords  need to be returned with diploma pick-up. Cost of cord is $10 per cord if keeping any of the honor cords.

MCHS Lunch & Learns

The school counselors offer Lunch & Learns each week with local professionals. The local professionals will be available from 1:30-2:00pm to present information and teach students about a career in their field. All Lunch & Learns will be held via Google Meets. SAT Testing Information:
October 14, 2020

Please read the following information that pertains to testing and instruction that will occur on October 14th. On October 14th, seniors will have the opportunity to take a free SAT at MCHS. In order to confirm your attendance at MCHS for the SAT on October 14th, and to let us know
whether you require bus transportation, please complete this survey: October 14th SAT Survey

Please review the October 14th schedules below for seniors taking the SAT on October 14th.

SENIORS A-L will report to Central Campus for testing.
SENIORS M-Z will report to South Campus for testing.

7:30 a.m. – 7:50 a.m.: Report to assigned campus and go to assigned room
8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: SAT Testing
Dismissal at 1:15 p.m.

Reminders about SAT testing and the schedule for October 14th will be sent throughout the upcoming weeks, and students will be notified of their testing room assignments prior to the test date. If you have questions, please contact your child’s school counselor or Dr. Janel Grzetich
