MCHS Course Selection Showcase 2021-2022

Hello MCHS Families,

Course selection for the 2021-2022 school year is quickly approaching. We are excited to continue to offer a rigorous course sequence preparing our students for college and career readiness. 

Course selection for current Junior, Sophomore, Freshman, and 8th grade students will take place in January. Please review the MCHS Curriculum Guide which offers in-depth course descriptions as well as prerequisites for some classes.

MCHS school counselors, department chairs, and teachers have worked together to create this Course Selection Slide Deck Presentation to share with our students and families.  This presentation will be helpful as students decide what courses they would like to take next school year.  There is a great deal of information within, including course selection sheets, core and elective course descriptions, as well as worksheets for students and families to use while planning the upcoming year. If you would like to request a hard copy of our course selection and registration/residency materials, they are available in the main offices at both campuses.

Important Dates:

Week of December 7
Sophomore Course Selection Sheet (yellow) and Registration Packet available. (paper copies available in the South Campus Foyer)
This form must be fully completed and returned to the high school [dropped off, mailed (MCHS ℅ School Counselors 26655 W. Eames St Channahon, IL 60410), or emailed to the counselors] on/before January 6, 2021.

January 6, 2021
Last day to turn in Sophomore Course Selection Sheet (yellow) due to MCHS [dropped off, mailed (MCHS ℅ School Counselors 26655 W. Eames St Channahon, IL 60410), or emailed to the counselors]

January 11-15, 2021
Individual virtual course selection meetings held through World Cultures and Hon Pre-AP Intro to World History & Geo classes. 

January 13, 2021
Walk-in course selection from 8am-12pm & 1pm-2:45pm in the Activities Hallway of South Campus.
- Only students will be allowed in the building 
- Students will enter through door #19 on west side of South Campus
- Students must self-certify and wear a mask at all times 

February 12, 2021
Last day to request changes for classes for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Requests can be made via email or phone call to your school counselor. 

February 12, 2021
