Bob (Robert) Flynn, MS, ATC, is in his seventh year as the Athletic Trainer for Minooka Community High School. Before coming to MCHS, Bob's professional experience in the field of athletic training included:
- Athletic Trainer for Christian Brothers College for 4 years
- Athletic Trainer for the Chicago White Sox Class A team for 3 years
- Athletic Trainer for the Chicago White Sox Class Triple A team for 3 years
- Volunteered at Xaiver High School for 3 years during the off season from baseball
- 1971 chosen to be the Athletic Trainer for the East-West All-American College All-Star Basketball Game
- Won the GLATA Public Relations Award for three years in a row, 2004, 2005 & 2006
- Won the NATA Public Relations Award for Best Grass Roots in 2005
Bob was also involved in athletic training for 10 years before changing fields to help parents who had disabilities. In 1993, he returned to the field of education as a teacher. In 1999, he entered a graduate program specializing in athletic training and received his MS degree in 2000 to return to the field of athletic training.
