MCHS Beefs up Schedule

One of the first things Coach Bernie Ruettiger did upon getting the Job as the Head Wrestling Coach at MCHS was to BEEF up the schedule. The addition of Duals with Glenbard North, Neaqua Valley, Lincoln Way Central, Marist, and Lockport have helped the MCHS wrestling program reach new heights.

However with the 2008 Indians' streak of Regional Titles being haulted at 4, it is time once for the Indians to revamp that schedule and help bring the program to another level.

The varsity Schedule will still consist of the standard 4 tournaments that put us in front of some of the best teams in the State:
12/19 & 20 - Hinsdale Central
12/29 & 30 - Palatine
1/16 &17 - Geneseo
1/31 - Conference

On December 13 the inaugural "Minooka Super Duals" come to town. The staff at MCHS has developed a tremendous line up of teams to compete. The teams on tap for this weekend are Leyden, Yorkville, Lincoln Way East, Mahomet, Marian Catholic & Edwardsville.

In addition to this great event, MCHS Wrestling has added the following teams to their schedule:

11/29 -Chicago - Mt Carmel (HOME)
12/4 - Brother Rice (HOME)
1/9 - Providence (HOME)

This is on top of the classic duals MCHS has traditionally had:

11/26 - Glenbard North and Batavia @ GBN
12/18 - Plainfield Central @PLC
1/15 - Neuqua Valley @ Romeoville
TBD - Lincoln Way Central
1/10 - LWC Duals - (Lyons Twp)
