MCHS Athletic Boosters Fundraiser Nights at McDonalds are Back!
Every Wednesday in March are Athletic Boosters fundraising opportunities at the Channahon and Minooka McDonald's locations. Between 4-8 p.m., MCHS Athletic Boosters will earn 10% of your total sale. For more information and to download the required flyer, click here.

MCHS ARROWETTES - STATE CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations are extended to the Arrowettes on capturing 1st Place in the Hip-Hop Competition of the 2010 TDI State Championships. The squad also placed 3rd in the Open Poms Competition.

MCHS Minooka Indians - STATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to the Minooka Indians on capturing the 2010 IHSA Class 3A Team State Championship.  The Indians defeated last year's champions, Oak Park-River Forest, as well as Glenbard North and Sandburg en route to the title - the first team title in school history. Congratulations Indians!  The team's accomplishments were celebrated during two special pep assemblies on Monday. To view assembly photographs at Central Campus, click here. Minooka Community High School to Host Two Events for District #111 Senior Citizens
MCHS invites District 111 senior citizens to mark their calendars now to attend two special upcoming events. First, the MCHS National Honor Society will host its annual Senior Citizen Dance on Saturday, March 6, 2010, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the MCHS - Central Campus cafetorium. Second, MCHS will host a special matinee production of the Broadway musical Oklahoma! on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.  The morning will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the MCHS (Central Campus) auxiliary gymnasium with light brunch, followed by the show in the Performing Arts Center. Admission to each event is free of charge, but is limited to MCHS District 111 residents only, please.  MCHS asks people interested in attending the dance to contact Donna Engel at 815-467-2140, ext. 164 to RSVP no later than Friday, February 26. Senior citizens interested in attending the matinee should contact Dave DiLorenzo at (815) 467-2140, ext. 179 to RSVP no later than Friday, March 12.

Local Scholarship Opportunities for Class of 2010
Scholarship opportunities offered by local businesses and organizations specifically to the MCHS Class of 2010, are now available on-line. These scholarships are easy to apply for and the winners will be announced and recognized at Honors Night on May 3, 2010. For current updates and to obtain applications for these scholarships, please visit the Career Center or www.mchs.net. Important Information Regarding MCHS Cafeteria Purchases
Minooka Community High School would like to inform families of an important change in practice regarding purchases in the cafeterias at both MCHS Central and South Campuses.  Starting Tuesday, February 16, 2010, all hot entrée and menu item purchases will be available as MealTime purchases only (no cash).  This practice is in addition to all “Big Meal Deal” purchases being designated for MealTime purchase only.  Students will not be allowed to use cash in these lines.  Snacks, beverages, and salads will still be available for purchase either with cash or a MealTime account. Summer Drivers Education Information is Now Available
Minooka Community High School will once again offer a driver education course this summer for area teenagers. The course is open to students who are fifteen years old, who live within the boundaries of MCHS District 111, and who have completed at least eight high school credit hours. Traffic Congestion Issues at South Campus
Parents have experienced increased traffic congestion on U.S. Route 6 in front of MCHS – South Campus in the morning during inclement weather when more parents drive students to school. While we continue to work in conjunction with the Channahon Police Department to minimize this congestion, we are asking parents to consider new options. PowerSchool Logins and Passwords
MCHS would like to inform parents and students that all logins and passwords for PowerSchool have been reset due to unanticipated technical challenges.  New logins and passwords are being mailed to your home today, and you should receive them within the next two to three days.  Please note that we do not distribute logins and passwords over the telephone.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
