Read for a Lifetime 2013-14 May 2013
Read for a Lifetime, sponsored by the Illinois State Library, was designed to promote the enjoyment of reading by encouraging students to read both classic and contemporary literature. Each student who reads at least four titles from the posted reading list during the school year will receive a certificate of achievement signed by Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White.

2013 Best Fiction for Young Adults May 2013
YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) has just announced the 2013 Best Fiction for Young Adults. Below are the Top Ten books (and we have them all at our library).

Abraham Lincoln Award Nominations for 2014 March 2013
Titles are nominated each year by Illinois School Librarians. Those students who have read at least 4 titles from the nominations list can vote for the winner in March 2014.
