Minooka Community High School’s Homecoming 2007 a Success
(Minooka) – The students and staff of Minooka Community High School enjoyed a fun Homecoming 2007 during the last week of September. The school’s Student Council planned a full week of activities for students, staff members, and the community to enjoy, including a battle of the bands (won by Aux Sable Embers), the annual Mr. & Ms. Indian competition (won by juniors Mike Burns and Lacey Bersano), and a powder puff flag football game between the members of the MCHS junior and senior classes (won by the senior girls). The week was capped off with the homecoming football game, where the Minooka Indians defeated the Romeoville Spartans by a score of 47-14, and the homecoming dance, at which seniors Will Harvey and Christina DiBartolomeo were crowned Homecoming 2007 king and queen. Class attendants for the dance included: Freshman Attendants - Terry Politis and Jordan King; Sophomore Attendants - Mike King and Jenna Simotes; Junior Attendants - Jon Shanahan and Mallory Steinke, and; Senior Attendants - Nick Welsh and Amber Chatman.
