(Minooka) – The Minooka Community High School chapter of the National Honor Society will host a special fund-raiser at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Channahon’s Community Park that is sure to attract runners, walkers, and dog-owners! The group invites the community to take part in its “Doggy Dash” event, which is designed to raise funds to help Mykaela Kargle get her diabetic alert dog to her home.

The event will feature a marathon for runners, walkers, and dogs, and will also include a lunch picnic, a doggie beauty pageant, and a variety of prizes.

The cost for the event per runner is $20 and the cost per dog-walker is $10.
