Minooka Community High School Invites Area Senior Citizens to Two Special Events
(Minooka) – Area senior citizens are encouraged to mark their calendars now to attend two special upcoming events at Minooka Community High School.
First, the MCHS chapter of the National Honor Society will host its annual Senior Citizen Dance on Saturday, March 1, 2008, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the MCHS cafetorium. This year’s dance will feature a USO theme.
Second, MCHS will host a special matinee production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. The morning will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the school’s Career Center with a light brunch and brief presentation about the latest MCHS District 111 news. The matinee will begin shortly afterward and will take place in the MCHS Performing Arts Center.
Admission to each event is free of charge. MCHS asks people interested in attending the Senior Citizen Dance to contact Donna Engel at 467-2140, ext. 164 to RSVP no later than Wednesday, February 27. Senior citizens interested in attending the matinee production of Cinderella should contact Dave DiLorenzo at 467-2140, ext. 179 to RSVP no later than Friday, March 7.
