Five Minooka Community High School Wrestlers Qualify for State

(Minooka) – Congratulations are in order for five Minooka Community High School wrestlers who qualified for the IHSA Individual State Meet this weekend at the University of Illinois. During this past weekend’s sectional competition at Normal West High School, three Indians captured individual sectional championships, including Brian Bokoski (112 lbs.), Nick Bain (135 lbs.), and Ryan Warczynski (145 lbs.), while Joeie Ruettiger (119 lbs.) and Brandon Haase (215 lbs.) each earned third place finishes. All five wrestlers will now compete for a state championship in their respective weight class starting this Friday at Assembly Hall. For up-to-the-minute results this weekend, visit www.ihsa.org.
