MCHS senior Grace RichardsonThe Plainfield Art League held their BEST OF BEST EXHIBIT at the Jon Blake Gallery at the Plainfield Dist 202 Administration Building in January. Minooka Community High School senior Grace Richardson won second place with her graphite drawing “Eagle.” There were 49 pieces of amazing student works of art on exhibit, each competing for an opportunity to advance to the Alliance of Fine Art Competition (AFA). Grace’s second-place award secures her position to move on to the next level.

The Alliance of Fine Art Competition will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, hosted by the Naperville Art League. At the AFA, Grace’s work will compete with that of student winners from other Art Leagues in the region. There will be three finalists chosen. First place will receive $500. Second and third place will each receive $250. Good luck, Grace!
