(Minooka) - Minooka Community High School congratulates senior Madison Wittkofski, daughter of Lori and Matthew Wittkofski, for being named the Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club “Student of the Month” for October.

Academically, Wittkofski maintains a 4.09 grade-point-average (on a 4.0 scale), has been named to the high honor roll throughout her high school career, has won an MCHS Academic Excellence Award, and has been recognized as an MCHS Scholar Athlete.

Outside the classroom at MCHS, Wittkofski is a member of the girls’ tennis team, Scholastic Bowl team, National Honor Society, and French National Honor Society.

Away from MCHS, Wittkofski is active as a member of the St. Mary’s Youth Group, is a volunteer for the St. Mary’s Religious Education Program, and participates in the Joliet Cathedral Area Preservation Association (CAPA) Housewalk and the Frank Lloyd Wright “All-Wright” Housewalk.

“Service to your community is important because giving back helps everyone,” Wittkofski said. “Even when you participate in small events by either donating money or time to a cause you want to support, you are making a difference."

While she is undecided on a school, Wittkofski plans to continue her education at the collegiate level next year and will major in engineering and minor in business.
